Update on priiloader 0.5
The story so far.
Priiloader installs and runs fine on all systems if the Wii is connected to the internet.
Priiloader installs and runs on all systems that use HBC 1.0.7 or below, with or without internet connection.
There is an issue when using HBC 1.0.8, and is installed with IOS58, and no internet connection. The result is garbled data on screen, lockup or even brick. (I think only one case reported on this site).
This issue affects all applications that use AHBPROT.
The apps that use IOS with no internet crash or freeze when launched from HBC:
fceugx 3.2.2
snes9xgx 4.2.4
wiimc channel installer 1.4
wiimc 1.0.7
Recommendation.
1. If 0.5 is installed its fine no need remove.
2. If you really want 0.5, install HBC 1.0.7, or install 1.0.8 but make sure you have internet connected.
3. Install Priiloader 0.4
Please notify here if you have anything to add. The Developers of Priiloader believe its an HBC issue and have reported the issue to them, see here.
FS#376 : HBC + AHBPROT = no always ending up nicely
Daco has reported his reasons for removing the download, on his site.
About the Priiloader 0.5 removal

Thank you for this informative post but I have one question. I haven't installed Priiloader 0.5 but I do have HBC 1.0.8. If for whatever reason I don't have an internet connection, do the other apps listed like WiiMC still run the risk of crashing (or god forbid bricking) or is that only with Priiloader 0.5 installed? I'm leaning towards the former but I'm not positive. Always best to make sure right? Thanks in advance

I can confirm with my settings that Wiimc works fine if I have internet settings, but both 1.0.9 and the 1.4 installer crash, if I have no internet settings.
Also if I lose the wireless link, 1.0.9 crashes.
Wiimc and Priiloader have the same issue with HBC. Both waiting for a fix.
I have 0.5 Priiloader installed, I also have HBC 1.0.8, IOS58 installed.

Ok cool, that's my exact setup minus the priiloader 0.5. I'm just worried that some day my router will drop signal as it sometimes does and brick me. Then again I run all of those programs from wad forwarders, so I guess I'm already covered if I don't go through HBC. Thanks a lot for the tips
