So you have the new D3-2 chip, and dont want to buy a HDD, but keep using the good old DVDs? I don't quite understand you, but either way, you can do it now with the new uLoader 3.5 by Hermes!! all you need is an external usb DVD reader, connect it and off you go!!!

I want to thank the OP for this information. I have a d3v2 wii drive and it was driving me nuts. With a USB DVD I had I am currently able to run backups. Woot!

No USB loaders work with GC backups. Only WODE can load GC games off a HDD.
