Edit.... Seems not so hit and mess anymore....after LU568.....

May 9, 10.....have had 18 console here unmoddable with just the modchip... the people that still wanted them modded has to have the dvd drive board replaced.


May 18......all wii's received with some of the listed numbers and higher have not been moddable with just a modchip.....

some of those unmoddable wii's had the original their dvd drive pcbs replaced and then modded

so if it could be modded....my serial # should start with one of those or if it starts with one of those im pretty much screwed?

also im in the us...will that make much of a difference?

well it's better to not have those numbers ...

even if you do have those numbers.....it's still a hit and miss type of thing...seem like 80-90% NO...so far

no...makes no diff...was chatting with a few modders in the US

anyways some reputable modders will have the moddable drive or board replacements....

Since I do...so will many others....

i got a new wii yesturday *no clue how old it is* and 1 a few days ago and when the chip was installed the drive stoped working could that be because of that new chip set?
*the old serial number started with LU569*
my current one is *LU341*

if it was professionally done...then most likely...

so does your *LU341* work with a modchip?

alot of the LU341 are cinfirmed to be working... check the sticky in wii modchips for the id points
