One nooby question , can anyone confirm that the following says it's a D2C (v1):
1. I have a second line of writing on the D2C
2. The printed text under the spindle says:
Top line: funny backwards R joined to a U, triangle, 94v-0
Bottom Line: MDK 337V-0

It's an LEH1898, which a certain UK modchip site says will be a D2C2, but I'm not sure I agree.

The only 100% way to know if its D2C2 is to try and mod it. If the chip you're using doesn't work, you need the D2Pro9 v2 chip. I've been trying to get this chip for a while now. Couldn't find it in Montreal, couldn't find it in Boston, and now I can't find it in New York City. I hear it'll be shipping in a week or so. Just hang in there, the other companies are out there working on this problem. It might take a few weeks, but they WILL release something and the new chips WILL ship.

We used to be resellers for the wasabi chip, they offered horrible support, the wasabi 1 was a big dissapointment that had a lot of issues that were never fixed. if they dont answer an email to a reseller of their product then they sure as hell wont offer support to anyone else. Because of this we dropped the wasabi product line completely. If the wasabi 2 works it better be bug free because I dont have hopes up they will ever release any support for it in future.

im not sure if i will fall for wasabi anymore,,i read a lot and plus,,just curios how the new chips wiill work,,
but proably i will go more for d2pro9 because i think they have good support and from what i have read they are soldress and do the firmware update thru dvd,,corect me if im wrong,,so will see,,but still did not mod any thing yet,,i dont know what im waiting
