you could use a few other programs as well. there is trucha signer for signing the partitions once you change the update files.
there is ultra edit for editing some of the code (i.e. the smg 001 error) or regions from PAL to NTSC or vice versa. actually the program i'm thinking of is regionfrii i think but i'm going on an hour of sleep in the last 2 days so i may be wrong.those are some of the programs i used for smg, ssbb, and one of the baseball games with the smg 001 on it.
