yeah. I've tried to get this to work for the last couple days. I had everything going ok yesterday, then I did an update this morning after doing a "virginization" to it. I couln't get cIOS38 rev14 to load...only rev15. so I deleted all of the IOS numbers greater than 200...deleted all of the channels and did the update. i downloaded all of the packs from messies guide (again) and started the bannerbomb.

Note: I had to do a "no vulnerable IOS found" install the last time I got HBC up 3 days ago.

I did the update and all that b/c I couldn't get any damn wads to load, even after all the tutorials I went through, so time to go get a new one.

Any ideas, PLEASE hook me up! I need it, especially around this time of year...thanks!

    Ca Uhh that's odd

i bought my wii on Dec 1st 2009, my buddy came over, we softmoded using his util out of box, we then updated the wii through Nintendo official update channel, it updated to 4.2u.

This is the part, it gave that exact warning stated in original post, the only affect it had was blocking the homebrew channel, we then followed the softmod guide for 4.2u (removing stub and installing to ios249 blah blah blah) and voila, my wii is working fine with no problems and all my softmoding is going great.

1 possibility for those who got bricked over this is possibly wad files that were installed apart from your simple wiibrew chanel.

knowing what i know now i will return my wii to a virgin b4 any other nintendo official updates (only when a known softmod for that revision is avail)

Good luck with the moding, thanks wiikacks.com and all contributors

Please post your problem in the correct forum area. You are in the Wii News Forum. I am closing this thread. It started in 2007 with an announcement of a FW update.
