I did the update via wifi and the wii still works ok. However, when I put in a copy of Guitar Hero Aerosmith, the same message about "if you wii has a technical modification bricking may follow yada yada yada" comes out. Basically the game still says I need to do an update. The seller of the wii says I should not do this because this may brick the wii.

Should I or shouldn't I use the GH Aerosmith? I got guitar hero 3 legends of rock and that works ok.

If the game is the same region as your wii region then its safe to update. But if you have already updated to the latest verson and it still asks then your game could be a different region than your wii in which case do not update as it will brick your wii.

lord niikon you dont need to get another copy of the game, all you have to do is get wiu1.1 run it through there and revome the update partitiom and then burn and you should have no problems

yeah, this works fine.
