Anger can sometimes do that to a person, that is why noone should ever react in anger. This is a very sa d story, and dont find logic for that man to live anymore. Im a person who couldnt hurt a fly, and this just breaks my heart. Seriously, a man KILLING a SEVEN YEAR OLD. What kinda people are these?

And here we come to a fine debate.
The guy is going to jail, end of story. The fact is, he is losing his most precious right just by going away. There is no difference in killing a 7 year old versus killing a 70 year old, society has to get over it. The fact is, people die everyday, kids all over the world. Everyone wants to make a big deal out of this one because the killer was re-enacting fictional martial arts moves from a videogame. Society would have eaten this kid alive anyway.
I feel sorry for the family who lost the child, I feel sorry for this kid because he is going to jail for the best part of his life, I feel sorry for the sister/girl friend because she has to live with what has happened.
They all get my pity. The funny thing about pity is, no one wants it, but the media makes sure they get it. That is the true wonder of the modern media institution.
Couldn't he 'reenact the moves' on a stuffed animal or something :/ He deserves to go to jail, people like that don't deserve to be out in the world

Reminds me of the guy who was addicted to WoW, and met a girl online. The guy moved in with the girl, who had a 2 year old baby at the time. The two played Warcraft, and skipped feeding her to play their game, and beat her when she asked for anything...The girl ended up dying from being Hit too hard one day.
Some people in this world just shouldn't be allowed to live, but do. Some people should be allowed to live, but don't. That's life.
And in respose to some of the earlier comments, killing a child is FAR different than killing a 70 year old, because the child hasn't been allowed to experience ANY of life's (mis)happenings.

I reckon that he should of been given life. As Zeroskyo said killing a seven year old is much worse than killing a 7o year old. Our Justice System is to soft. I'm not saying that he should be killed as thats bad too, but that he should be put into prison for life.
