The system is aimed at a younger audience. There is no problem designing and publishing games for a younger market, but the adult market suffers for it.
Kids are easier to please when it comes to games. It has to only be kinda okay for a kid to like a game. Adults have much stricter ideals as far as good games are concerned. You can't make a game that has play mechanics that are aimed for 6 year olds and then have an adult market like that game. Even if the Wii is designed for a younger market, I would think the majority of the gamers are adult.
In the end, I think it's a skewing of ideas really. Most of the Wii's software is made for kids, so most adult gamers don't like them.
Make no mistake though, because the majority of Wii games are made for kids, that is no excuse for a poorly thought out, poorly programmed piece of junk game, which you do see a fair share of on the Wii.
I swear never, ever to support microsoft. the only way i will get their products is through *other means.* ill never buy a 360 and try to use as little ms products as possible. I use ubuntu instead of windows (except for games) OpenOffice.org instead of ms office, VLC instead of WMP, and Firefox instead of IE, etc. in other words, i think bill gate should go shoot himself.

have you ever used ubuntu or any other non windows based OS? if not then you can not say that windows is the best OS. i for one have used and have installed ubuntu and vista, personally i think they both have + and - to them but i woulndt ever say one is better then the other. being the fact there is flaws with them all... just my .02
and i cant agree nor disagree with you on the 360 b/c i have never played a 360, i was to disapointed with the original xbox that i desided not to waste $ on something that i might not like.
wii does have some crappy games, but there is alot of family/party oriented games that to me make it worth having over a ps3 or a 360.. i am not sayin the wii is a better system then the other 2 but i am saying to me its a better choice for a system, everyone has there likes and dislikes of games/systems but that doesnt make every game for a certain system crappy or make a certain system better then another.

Well, as far is i see all consoles have their good games and their bad games, some people may that one game sucks but some may like it. As a kid, i'd say both the wii and the xbox360 has good games but the wii has become flooded with bad games.
The wii has some ok games, nothing really good unless you're a 10 yr old or a 40 odd year old woman.
The good games on the ps3 and xbox destroy anything the wii has... theres no real argument otherwise.
personally I cant believe the wii is even considered competition for the other two. it should be in another catagory or something imo like maybe toys.
what makes the console great is the hackability. yeah they didn't do this on purpose but it's still there and maybe they did have us in mind when they created the wii, just slightly, maybe on guy on the team. i do not want an iron clad system that does only what the company who made it tells me i can do with it. yes this isn't really about games, but when you can "backup" all the games for a system does it really matter how good they are? if i buy a ps3 or 360 (yes i know 360's are hackabale, to what extent i do not know) i will maybe have like 3 games over the course of a year. i cannot pay $50 for every game that comes out. last time i checked i didn't see ps3 games under $50, maybe i'm wrong but thats the last time i looked at those games. the franchise nintendo games are enough alone to make the wii awesome and wiiware has unlimited expandability. so all in all it doesn't really matter if the wii has crappy games its hackable and its simple to exploit. this is also why dreamcast was cool
The wii has some good games, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Metriod, Mario Party, Zelda.. See a pattern here? it's because all the games that are good In my opinion aren't from a Third party.
Third Party Companys need to stop screwing around and spend some TIME making the next Sonic, Bonk, Simon Belmont, Jimmy and Billy Lee. Instead of throwing out crap.
This is why I always say, the 8-bit and 16-bit That was the golden age of gaming. There really is no thought into games now it's all about Graphics, I mean don't get me wrong, I love Realistic Graphics just as much as the next Video Game Nerd. I think the last game I played that had AWESOME Graphics and a KICK ASS Story was Ghostbusters. Not for the wii, hell not even for the 360 or PS3 but I liked the PC Platform the best.
The reason why it was so good. Look who wrote it. The person who wrote the
script for Both Ghostbusters movies. The got all the voice actors to match the Old movies. They took alot of time in making this and it paid off.
It's bad when they Delay a GOOD game. But a Bad game is Bad forever...
