if you have 3.3+, and its not bleach, Need for speed, animal crossing, or hitman reborn
it might be a edited game and those dont work without gecko OS, or unless you patch IOS 51
if its 3.2+ make sure to instal Cios 37
and then try, if not boot in gecko OS, if not then i dont know what the issue is, i really done =\

Its none of those games and they all work in my 3.3U system so they are not edited. I even installed 3.2 and they won't boot from gecko os either. Yet some games will.

It seems like it is an extrememly picky laser.

Is the only solution to upgrade to a newer drive when someone gets something like this?

It wouldnt have anything to do with the pin? It was the first time I soldered to an IC leg and it went really well. Solid connection with a magnifying glass no chance of bridge.

And I mean it does work for a few games so it can't be anything to do with the install. Really wierd. I am just paranoid that it has something to do with me lifting the pad

I am just going to try and play around with my media and try gecko os again on my best burns.

If that doesn't solve it then I will either take the chip out for him or charge him cost.

Is there a chance it could be a faulty chip that is affecting it? Doesn't seem so but you guys have more experience.

Thanks a lot for your replies.

I just bought a sweet hakko 936 station with a super fine tip so I shouldn't be lifting any pads any time soon (even though this one was lifted when I was a little rough with the wire)

Allright media issue the whole time. After playing with my media and dvd firware with different burning speeds. I have found a lock for this system. TY media at 8x are amazing burns and load up perfectly.

for some reason the 4x is a little worse.

    Ca Hello

I have the same problem - the fix I have makes no sense, but it works for me. I change my batteries in the wiimote.
I dunno why this works, but I have about 6 games that either wont load, or give a disc error, and this fixes it.

If my batteries are anything less then full bars, the game wont work.

This can get expensive if you don't have a re-chargeables...

PS all my games were burned at 2x on Maxell discs.
