I have a chip in the mail from canadamods.com right now. Lots recommend them.
I put in my serial number on [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register] and the results were:
I then went to [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register] with the following results:There is a 50% chance that your drive chip is a GC2-D2C
There is a 50% chance that the pins on your drive chip are not cut.
I'm new to all this and I've never modded anything before although I've read up on it and I want to buy a modchip with the Wii Clip (pre-soldered).There is a 100% chance the chipset is GC2-D2E.
I cant decide on which one to get: D2Pro9 V3, Wasabi V3, or D2Sun. Any suggestions?
I've also noticed seen some issues with the new Wii Clips and points of J, F, Q, and so on and how you might need to solder some points and I'm wondering if that has been taken care of.
Also I live in the US, and having trouble finding where to buy these mods.
Thanks.

Well I just bought a WiiKey2 + WiiClip V14 (presoldered) from #########, hopefully this will work for me and I think it's the newest version of WiiKey and WiiClip.
Also I was browsing through forums on ntorrents.net and noticed that almost everyone is using a WiiKey. This must be a good thing because it shows that it works for everyone.
Anyways, I'll keep you posted when I receive it and try to install it.![]()

Wii Key is the cheapest, and one of the first chips...
you can get a V 1, for 8 hell someone was giving them away for free here for shipping (only 8)
V 2 cost a bit more 34 or so usd, and has 6 wires to install....
when you have cheapness, a good ammount working, and almost no work, it sells more often than 50+ chips, who do the same thing, better or worse, and require more work to install
but good luck with it
Thanks, and if this fails I can just buy the Wasabi V3 with the clip and just replace it.
I saw the new Wiikey with WiiClip V14 has the 5-6 wires compared with the 9 wire version which had problems (eject and stop spin disc) so I should be safe with this one.
Havent seen any reported problems with the 5-6 wire one yet.

Dammit I just saw that gmodz.ca is not recommended...
We'll see what happens though.
Im in the US and i've done install for customers all over the US.
So just in case the mod fails for you.. it's not the WiiKey2.. it would be the
WiiClip.. then on that case you can contact me and I would install the Wiikey2
for you.. Solder + Wire.. Best of luck to you and happy gaming always!
I've ordered from Gmodz before and I received top rate service. Hopefully you experience the same.Originally Posted by skater789 [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]
