    D2e

Which chip would be best for a D2E drive?

I got the wii in USA about 3 1/2 months ago. I am 50% sure I have a D2E drive

Thanks Woore, I have looked at both chips on their site. They are waiting on the new 5-6 wire wiikey2. So now wiikey2 is out of stock until the new ones arrive. They do have D2pro9 V3 in stock though. I am trying to figure out how many wires are needed for the D2pro 9 V3 when is is put on a D2E drive. On D2's site they do not mention the D2E chip-set in their wiring diagram.

if you're soldering it then 9 wires, its the same install as d2c/d2c2
We do have clip solutions as well though if soldering to the ic is an issue. If you can solder its cheapest to buy the chip and the v4c clip seperate and solder it yourself.

Thank you Spyman, I was hoping it would be a 5 wire install, my soldering skills are fair, but only fair. lol Well I guess I will look at the v4c clip you mentioned.
