System menu 6.1 and you install ios60-v6400, you will brick your wii
    I am sure that's a typo.

Hi, I have been looking for a guide to help me update my wii. I have a refurbished wii that has been hardmodded. I don't know what chip I have because I got it done in store. I know I have the 4.2U version and I have been able to play NTSC backup games no problem, except for those that require some software upgrades. I dont want to brick the wii but want to be able to play those new games for example: epic mickey.

Any help/guide would be greatly appreciated.

You just need to remove the update from the iso before you burn the disc. You can use wiiscrubber to do this. Then you need to install the needed ios the game runs if it gives you a black screen. You can view this ios with iospatcher, just drag your iso onto it and it will show you what ios the game is running on.

Ok, so I'm following the guide of http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...iscrubber.html it says to extract the wad files. So is all the files in the -Sys partion? the game has 58 wads and then I just scrub it and burn it right ?

You don't need to scrub it or extract the wads, just delete the update partition. If you scrub it, it may not work with your chip, so just delete the update partition.

I deleted the update partion and then burned the iso. The game started to load just fine but then in the middle of the intro it went into a black screen showing me this msg: "The disc could not be read. Refer to the Wii Operations Manual for details."

So how to I install the IOS in my hardmoded wii ?

Edit: I just found your guide. I'm following the instructions now. Thank you for the help!

That sounds more like an issue with burning methods or disc media.

    Hi.
All games released before ios56 are working in my hardmoded 3.4u wii (drivekey v1) wihout any problems (i never had to install any ios file).
I used this guide to install this ios using an 2gb scandisk wii sd card (formated in fat32) but in sd channel only appears a chanel with question marks (???).
    Anyone knows why?
    Thanks

EDIT: Problem resolved. I used the sonic colours guide
    http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/72...c-colours.html

You need to use bannerbomb v1, loaded from wii settings -> data managment -> channels -> sd card
Also, there are 4 or 5 versions of bbv1, so if your wii does not like one you may need to try another. These can be found in post #1 under BBv1 alternate BB files.
