Personally, I'd pick the Wode, I have one, and love it. WiFi loading is just around the corner, and disc ripping is already here. As far as I know the Wode will only rip retail games regardless, so newer wii drive(Unable to load burnt DVD's) or not, the WODE wouldnt rip the burns in any case.

If money isn't an issue and if you like HD support for GC games, go for the WODE. If not, then softmod or hardmod with "traditional" chip --- but only after you swap out PCB/logic board attached to the drive itself (it's not the drive, but rather the support circuitry that disables the Wii from any form of DVD backup disc).

wode jukebox and board replacment with a modchip will cost about the same so it doesnt really matter
i just gotta be sure that wode will load games from hd without freezing or crashing or any other crap
cause my softmod cannot play a game from hd without freezing
and well replacing a board will allow me to play both dvd and play from hd
    so im not really sure

I can tell you, to date, the only game I've ever had issue loading via Wode + USB HDD was New Super Mario Bros, but that was due to ripping and the lack of BCA data from the game. With the latest updates now to the Wode, you just plugin your HDD and choose rip game, with the orginal in the drive, it will rip the BCA data and the game image in one shot. So long story short, NSMB isnt even an issue now to backup and play via Wode.

If your from the southern hemisphere I'd recommend Ozmodchips and if your from the northern hemisphere I'd recommend buying from Modchip Depot as you will be supporting Wiihacks.
