Hi, I'm a little confused as to why an actel chip upgrade seems to be an important feature in chips making them sound better.
The only actel upgrades we have seen are for D2pro9 and those have been for hardware issues. Game compatibility issues have been solved by DVD updates.
So what i understand is that if you have ure chip running successfully, then u shouldnt need a actel upgrade and you could live with dvd upgrades. So why go for a D2pro9 and risk inching/ejecting problems when one can go with a Wasabi and ensure future game compatibility with the DVD updates.
Someone please correct me if i am wrong.

The ability to change the actel can be important in the future if gaming protection advances and the way a chip functions needs to change. SPI can only do minor updates, so if it were something major a method to flash the actel would need to be made so that it can perform differently.
