I believe FreeLoader will not work at all if your wii is at 3.3 firmware version.

the update for it actually came out very quick after but a lot of distributors just split it up into v2/v3 categories. As long as the customers were informed which one to get clearly it avoided a lot of issues. Anyways the fact that they do the necessary updates very quickly says a lot.

Wasabi2 should be releasing an update soon also to fix the minor bugs.

"the fact that they do the necessary updates very quickly says a lot." yes it says the chip had a lot of issues

    d2pro9 v0.9b april 08
    d2pro9 1.1b may 08
d2pro9 update utility disc 1.4 to fix ssbb issues on d2c2 chipsets june 08
d2pro9 2.1 update and team confirmed issues and working on another update jul 08
d2pro9 2.1 alternative firmware released july 24 to fix previous issue
d2pro9 2.3 update to fix inching and eject issues aug 17th 08

with all these update there are still issues with d2e chips and the only way to get a fix is to send back the chip to seller OR buy a new chip that already has the new fixes in them....

wasabi 1 was a big mess and they released wasabi 2 may 08 which supported d2c/d2c2...no issues and updates needed until d2e boards came out july 17th new update disc released to update previous batch of chips to support d2e...

currently both chips are great but i think d2pro9 has required more work to get to this point

And the amazing thing is that, all these updates D2pro releases, the chip still have problems......wasabi learn from their mistakes with the first generation of chips but at the end of the day they came out with the most reliable, stable and rock solid chip for all the wii drives. Yes they are releasing an update, but the update is to solve MINOR issues....not a truckload of issues D2pro have. D2pro team needs to sit down, put their heads together and redesign their chips over before you release it to the public. That is just my opinion.
Thanks everyone for the great support.
Hope to hear from you soon, cause i'm getting ready to retire from the modding scene.

has anyone got their wii banned from playing a burnt game over the net?

are there other ways of getting your wii banned such as having a burnt game in your wii and going on the net or just having a modded wii and going on the net?

if you do get banned is there any way of getting unbanned quick and easy?

is there a way of playing burnt games on the net without being caught like some sort of mac spoofer which scrambles nintendos probing of your wii?

Well I never play my backups online cause as long as the chip is on during a reading of a backup, nintendo can easily probe your wii as tampered. Also, if you have installed cheats in the SD card and you use these cheats online, you can get probed easy there too.
No you cannot get banned if your wii is online just so. Unless you insert a backup of the game and nintendo detects a mod in the system, then there will be a problem.
I wish there was some way to unban your wii but I don;t kn ow if they develop that as yet.
And I don't know if there is a MAC spoofer for the wii.
Thanks everyone for the great support.

can you still play original wii games on the net and not get caught?

i found this wii on ebay already modded it has a wiikey mod chip in it already should i buy it

it comes with one wiimote nunchuck and the stuff u get when you first buy the wii

it also has a mad case on it with (a clear Chameleon case that flashes different colours)

it is $400 buy it now

also is it possible to change mod chips in a wii? so if i wanted to put a wasabii in there i could or not?

yes you can play original games on a modified wii online. But leave the wiikey in the system cause changing the chip tends to confuse the system as it already broken in with the wiikey.
