Best chip for a pre-modded wii?
I am considering trying to buy a used pre-modded Wii to save some money from buying a new pre-modded Wii.
I’ve read a lot of articles here, but
still have some questions.
I am trying to figure out what is the best set-up to look for in a used pre-modded Wii.
I don’t have to worry about installation, or figuring out compatibility, but I would like to try and get a chip that can be programmed/updated if needed without having to re-open the console.
From [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register],
It seems like its between D2pro9 v3 and Wasabi v3
How much cheaper can I expect a pre-modded console with one of those two to be from a new one?
Thanks

we sell consoles with d2pro9 or wasabi2 v3 for $380 , we have both at the same price. The d2sun though is considerably cheaper.

PM Sent.
Can anyone give suggestions on which modchip to get between the Wasabi 3 v3 and the D2Pro9 v3 if both price and installation ease is not an issue?
I'm tempted to go with the D2Pro9 v3 because of the Jtag programmer, but I'm concerned about inching/eject issues, which makes me think more about the Wasabi 3...

Heh, wasn't even looking to buy one yet which is why I didn't put this in the Buy/Sell area, but since I ended up getting a good offer from n1tro, I decided to go with d2pro9 with a d2prog on a d2e Wii.
It was a really hard thing to decide which chip to use, d2pro9, d2lite, and Wasabi 3.
Ultimately, for me, it came down to the jtag programmer.
I realize that while I probably will never use it, it does make me feel like its more "future-proof", and who knows if someday someone comes up with some kind of cool use for being able to re-program the entire chip?
My biggest issue was the known eject/inching issues, but my understanding from speaking with N1tro is that the inching/eject issues do not apply to the d2pro9 v3 chip updated to the latest firmware as it will then be compatible with the d2e.
Anyway, even though I already made the choice for myself, it would still be cool to hear from people about which chip would be best if there were no concerns about installation, figuring out compatibilty with specific Wiis, or price?
It seems like the concerns of buying a pre-modded Wii are different than if you are buying the Wii and chip seperately....
