doesn't matter as long as it is not the thick industrial type solder that takes forever to melt. Try getting a spool that is really thin to make it easier to mod.

try getting the 0.22 diameter soldering wire, it is perfect for all heat sensitive components. I use that size for the past 10yrs
Thanks everyone for the great support.
Hope to hear from you soon, cause i'm getting ready to retire from the modding scene.
    Gonna start a new profession.

Radioshack solder i'm talking about, but don't use the soldering iron from radioshack, the iron is not isolated enough to handle heat sensitive components. (they are more used for amplifiers and speakers) Use the weller irons instead, those are the best.

haha yeah i work at radioshack and the soldering irons we sell arent too spiffy... but we do have a hell of a lot of solder to choose from... thats why i was asking and was so impatient lol

ok cool....but radioshack sells some really good solder though.....I love the solder wires, they are very easy to manipulate when soldering microscopic components
Thanks everyone for the great support.
