    Us Wii ISO Dumper

Allright, I have read tons of posts and google posts about the pros and cons of the wear and tear of dumping games off the Wii. I successfully dumped a 5 gig game in 2 hours using ISO Dumper, Its a really cool idea and works awesome. I was able to get like 600k download speeds consistantly, My ? is I have seen posts where people say dumping games using the Wii console kills the laser. Is the Wii's laser way more prone to failure than the lasers of like XBOX 360's Playstation's or even CD and DVD players? I cant imagine that Nintendo would use a cheap or weak laser for their systems, I mean I have a modded xbox that I have ripped almost every game made, and thousands of hours of gameplay, and never had any problems. Is there something different about Wii's? Or is it just people being paranoid and or scared? If there is something different about the Wii"s laser which makes it more prone to failure, I will scratch the idea of ISO Dumper and just go buy a drive for the computer. Any ideas or facts that I dont know about??
I have a full soft modded Wii with Neogamma, that I have never had any problems playing ANY game with any region, and just got my Wode hooked up. For anybody looking for a modchip, the Wode is DEFINATELY worth the money. I am able to hook up 4 external HDD's at the same time and the Wode recognises all of them, I have games on one movies on the other, and music on another, plus a USB thumb drive, and a SD card all at the same time. Its not necessary, I usually have just one drive hooked up, but it is REALLY nice to know it is capable of all that. And each HDD is 1tb with one of them a 1.5tb.

    Thanx for your support.

No need to do that. Get a USB loader.

Yes its harder on the laser and plus it takes FOREVER...
    Damn I suck!!!!

Nintendo did put cheap drives in the wii but I would say that playing disk backups is probably harder on it than actually dumping games. Why don`t you use the dumping feature in your usbloader?

Right, I have got a USB loader, Im talking about ripping games to put on my HDD's. I have found a couple I wanted on the net, but bittorrent takes sooo long to DL. I just want a easier way to get games. 2 hours to rip a game is so much quicker than DLing. I only got a 2 meg DL net connection, so it takes a few days, depending on seeders to get a game.

WOW!!!!!! Thanx for the freakin quick answers, you guys are freakin awesome!! I dont have a drive in my computer that reads the Wii games, the only way for me to rip the games is from the Wii, So do you think it will kill the laser by dumping the games from the console?
