i went to the nintendo scene website and put in my serial which is LU553064870 and it said
Your Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2C.

Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut.

so i'm just wondering if it's ok to use the wiikey or if not which is the best to use.

Wiikey doesn't work on D2C chipset.

Yesterday I finally got my hands on a D2E chip set DVD drive.. install was sucessfull, used the D2pro9~rev3 mod chip.

you can save urself a lot of money and get a d2pro9 on a clip preflashed with latest firmware so u have no issues. costs you $75 + $12 shipping and its very easy to install. there is a video on our website.free tri wing is included on our website
