Possibly the Wii-Clip is not seated tight into place. It has to be almost touching the PCB board of the wii drive. Also make sure its correctly aligned, a slightest angle and it won't work.
Well I tried clipping the Clip back on. It still wont play a back up but the disc drive now sounds different when reading Original Discs.
It could be the media (Ritek GO5 Dye) I'm using, but is there any other way I could check before buying better media.
I don't know if the LED light sequence would be the same as the D2Pro9, but seeing as they are made by the same company they might be, the following has some info on that.
Best to burn using IBMBurn @ 4x speed using DVD-R with preferred brand being verbatim, although other brands have been successful as well such as Sony, TDK.
