If you bought your wii before april, you can use a d2ckey + wii-clip (cheapest solution, also a great chip). You can also use a d2pro9 with a wii-clip no matter when you bought your wii.

if yours is a later d2c wii, there is a slight chance of having to solder 1 wire to get the solderless chips going. please keep that in mind before ordering.

Before April 2008? I bought it last year. Will there still be chances I need to solder one wire?

    Cheers for all your help.

"The D2CKey bundle is for the revision 1 d2c console. not for d2c2 console which have serial numbers over LEH184 (approx for pal consoles) If you have a serial number over this value please purchase the d2pro9 bundle as this will be compatible."

I found that off a store, and my Serial number is alot under LEH184 - LEH137 to be exact.

    The D2Ckey + wii-clip v1 will be a great (and cheap) solution.
If you want the ability to update, then spend a bit extra and get the D2Pro9 with wii-clip v4c.

You won't be disappointed with the D2Ckey though, it's still probably the best D2C chip out there.

Not true. Small chance, like me that you will need to desolder the clk bridge and then solder a single wire to the J point.

Upside is it made me go out and learn to solder. Bad side is it made me want to put the wii through the wall.
Gmodz will lie to you to make a sale.
