D2Pro9 D2E Spin-up times

Hi

I've just fitted the above with Wii Clip. It seems to be working but it takes on average about 30 seconds (sometimes more) for the disc to start spinning up when you first turn the Wii on or return to the main screen from a game. Is this normal behaviour?

It happens with both backup and normal game disks. The disk obviously wont eject until it recognises there is one in there.

Also on one game, it gets so far and says "disc cannot be read" (different place each time). On another I get the image to load the game, then a black screen. Other games work burnt in the same way and on the same type of disks. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Andy.

try to use DVD-r and see if it helps. Some wii with a modchip just takes longer to read the games. Got to live with it or switch to a different chip. I find that the wasabi 2 and wiizard has very quick pick up time once installed.
