Solderless D2Pro Anyone had a problem

I just recently bought this chip to mod my wii, so far no luck w/any of the games I have burned. Not sure if this modchip is working or not. Anyway to tell if it is? I have burned 3 games at various speeds, different media, using ImgBurn and good media Taiyo Yuden, TDK. Have ordered some Verbatim to try. Does anyone have a backup copy that I could test my Wii with?

When I put in the game disc it just spins and spins, finally get a message "unable to read disc". Any advise what to try next.

Anyone else having trouble with the Solderless D2Pro chip?

Yeah I had the same problem. Was told 0% chance to have to solder the J wire until I told them it didn't work and only lit up red on the chip.

My wii is a GC2-D2C, what is yours? Why would it require the wire to be soldered?

I took my unit apart and powered up and the light is red. Are you saying that I need to "unbridge" the clk-when I view the clk there is a divide already in the clk area-so does that mean it is already "unbridged". Then you are saying to solder the wire across and that should fix my problem? Will it harm the Wii unit to do this?

My light LED is red, and I have noticed that the clip on the chip is W-clip w/the no's. below are V4C-9, is the clip a fake and would I be able to send it back to the company where I bought it, which was techsick.com?
