Us Modding LU339627688?

WiiTracker is telling me that my Wii w/serial LU339627688 has "a 50% chance that my drive chip is a GC2-D2C" and "a 50% chance that the pins on my drive chip are not cut." Does anyone know for sure what my Wii has? Also, I've never soldered anything before, so if anyone in the MA/CT area is offering any installation services I'd be interested.

If you purchased it recently then it will either be D2C2 or D2E.

Also take a look here -> [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]

You can purchase modchip presoldered on to wiiclip that you just clip on. The two most popular modchips are the D2Pro9v2 and the Wasabi2.

Yes. But you might want to double check with ModChipCentral as some people have reported that they received fake WiiClips from them. Other reputable resellers are CanadaMods.ca and GMods.ca.

Well I already ordered from MMC... can you find out if a chip is legitimate just by looking at it? If so I'll just send an e-mail.

Its not the chip, but the WiiClip that could be fake. I don't know if you can tell by looking at it. But you should contact them about it to double check.
