Really need advice on which chip? Wiikey vs D2Pro
hi,
i am new here and trying to figure out which modchip to use.. the wiikey seems to be the easy one if your console is old enough, am i correct? Can you still buy games from wiishop if you use wiikey? Or the internet? I dont know how nintendo can detect it, unless during online play, but what if you are asked for updated, etc?
I also looked at the d2pro and it seems like a pain to update it, i dont know how often the usb updater is needed, i can use either a d2c system or a dms.. which would you do?
thank you for your time, i just want something reliable, and easy to update. Also, who all mods them for people or sells premodded?

Yes the Wiikey is the most popular for the older Wiis. The current popular chips are the D2Pro9v2 (which apparently now may need D2Prog to update the main chip, although the spi flash can be updated via the DVD) and the Wasabi2 which is only DVD updateable.

Let me rephrase, which one do you think is the easiest and most stable. I can buy it any way, older or new. I just don't know between wiikey and D2Pro9v2. Which of these 2 is the best and easiest, and witht he D2ProV2 i guess you basically have to get the usb programmer?

I personally take the wiikey. Simple and easy to install versus the more expensive chip. Contact us at [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] and we can hook you up with a premodded unit.

wiikey is better, plays all backups perfectly.
