Unhappy HELP! Wii isn't reading any discs... Any suggestions?

Heres the details, hope i have provided enough for you to help me...

I have opened my wii, to install a mod chip. I also opened the part where it reads the discs. I have removed my mod chip and it is removed now. When i insert a discs it makes a "Clicking" noise twice then i get a black screen with an error message:

An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting.

Is there any way to replace the lens or something on it?

So you opened up the DVD drive? Maybe you screwed it back on too tight or maybe have messed it up?

maybe u would like to check for the behaviour of the led light on ur mod chip to be sure it is working properly..

i am using a d2pro chip.. D2Pro Modchip - OzModChips Wiki .(Read the part on LED behaviour.)

are u using a wii clip? i did encounter similar problem as u before.. and inorder to make sure the wii-clip has a porper contact with the d2c chip.. i used a needle to 'dig' out the small contact pins of the wii clip (be careful not to break it..)

    hope it helps..

I am using a wii clip, d2pro9. But i removed it from my wii. My Wii still won't read discs, but will eject. The light on my mod chip by the way isnt red, its blue. On my Wii's Eye (lens) it shines red when it reads a discs. I will probably send it to nintendo but my wii is old, and i like my wii with its old so all the exploits won't be patched. What im saying is. I'm afraid to send it to nintendo because i don't want them to fix all the hacks and exploits that are possible because its such an old wii.

Thanks for the responses by the way.
