    50% GC2-D2C 50% Uncut- What should I do?

There is a 50% chance that your drive chip is a GC2-D2C

There is a 50% chance that the pins on your drive chip are not cut.
So how do I know if I have uncut or D2C? Also, if I have D2C which mod chip should I get? Is there any solderless solutions like the Wiikey with clip? If it's uncut, what does this mean? and what should I get?

go for the d2pro9 d2c2 with wii clip, that should be good even if you have the d2c2 or the d2c

If I get that, does that mean I don't have to check if it's uncut or D2C?

Here are the first 5 digits: LU573

I also opened it- It said GC2-DC2. Would it say it's DC2C2 if it was DC2C2? Also, what the hell is cut and uncut?

Thanks, but how did you know it's D2C2? The chip clearly said D2C? How does one tell if it's cut or uncut? Why does it matter if it's cut or uncut?

all boards say d2c but the ones with serial number lu566 and above are d2c2...u would see the pins cut....it doesnt matter to you since u have d2c...if you had a d2b then the install would be harder on legs cut boards.....thats why people charge higher to mod those ones
