Arrow SSBB not booting up with the new D2pro9 v2 ~ D2C2 Drives

The chip works like a charm with any game..
    Mario Galaxy works, Mario Kart..
But when I tried SSBB (dual layer version w/layerbreak 2084960)
the drive makes a lot of noise.. & then stops trying to read disc..
    it works fine with "D2pro9 V1 ~ D2C drives"
So I tried burning it again, this time w/out the layerbreak.
(As it works like that with the wiikey). Bad news, still nothing..

So I was wondering if any of you guys who has installed the new
D2pro9 v2 on the new D2C2's r having the same issues..
And if yes, have you figured it out how to fix the little problem?
Im guessing it could be something simple like changing the layerbreak #'s.
but what would we change it to?

I thought this at first also, but just got a customers unit and its working on his. Seems like it works on some and not on others. I am wondering if its a matter of the drive itself.

Which media you used, so that if someone runs into the same issue, then he/she can try.

    Thanks.

I use MIS Verbatim +R DL with the layerbreak set. I am wondering if possibly its just the newer drives that are crap compared to the older drives and nothing to really do with the chip.

Would it make a difference if you used DVD-R instead of DVD+R? I know some of my ps2 games are that way.

well it seems luck of the draw, most of them seem to play it fine but some crash after opening scene for me. i think it really might just be a laser thing.
