    i got it to work on mine

    I have an NTSC 3.2u d2pro9 v2 and did the Utility Disc v1.4 update. When I removed the update with wiiblocker, the game didn't work. It started to work on mine only after I did the system update (first I made sure that the disk was NTSC).

    Sometimes i get an error message: "error reading disk," so I eject the disk and stick it back in and it works again. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Okay, so you did the update off the SSBB NTSC game right?
    it's a must, since this game is a dual layer game.
    Your DVD drive needs this update in order to work correctly..
    + u dont have to use wiiblocker if the backup is NTSC region.
    And did u use the layerbreak 2084960 when u burned the iso.?

    I burned the game onto a single layer disk. Do I need to burn the game onto a dual layer disk with layerbreak 2084960 for it to stop showing me the error?

    There is no possible way to burn it to a single layer disc, it just wont fit!

    The game is 4.3x gb. The disk has 4.71 gb of space. It worked for me lol. You think there may be a problem with single layer?

    You obviously don't have a 'proper' copy of SSBB cause the 'official' version will only fit on a dual layer dvd

    i have the same problem but not with SSBB. i have a PAL game that i tried playing but it wouldnt work when i used brickblocker on it. Without using Brickblocker, it works, but then it asks me to update, which, if i do, will brick my system.

    Okay.. Looks like u have a Single Layer version SSBB ==> In which I do too..
    I know it works for sure on WiiKey.. Even though when u beat it, it freezes,
    cause the full game wont fit on a single layer... So redownload the game,
    the dual layer version & burn it with the layer break & then u should be good
    to go.. ==> good luck!

    Try patching the iso using Region Frii to NTSC ..
    That may fix the issue
