    Question Solderless Mod!! NEWEST Wii

    He there,
I've just bought Wii last week 05/21/08 and serial starts LU34229... Question is, is there a way to mod Wii without soldering (like I saw one video, guy CLIPs a key looking chip -Argon). Would that work with new Wii? Any other suggestion. I'm not scared of disassembling but frightened of soldering... Thanks

Yes the Wii-Clip will work, although it has a 43% fail rate, so you are better off having it modded professionally, that way you won't have to worry in the future about wires coming lose. There are many modders on here, try and find one locally. I don't recommend the Wii-Clip to anyone. For the simple fact that it just doesn't work correctly half the time.

I've been looking for someone who can mod locally even before I bought Wii but I found no one. Its just that I don't want to solder. Any alternates

installed properly, the wii-clip is fine. it's when you put it on and take it off, over and over, that wears out the connections. As far as your 'new' wii goes, I'd recommend the d2pro9 and a wii-clip v4c as seen here considering you more than likely have a d2c or d2c2.

I went with the clip also and have yet to have a problem with it. And have yet to not have a game work on me also...I liked the idea of not having to solder to my wii.

They work 100%, I hand test each one before it ships out

I'm convinced to get WiiClip but which one? As mentioned above I've just bought Wii last week 05/21/08 and serial starts LU34229... I mean how do I determine which chip is needed. Do I've to disassemble Wii now and check it out or is there a way? When I went to WiiTracker and put my serial down, it shows "There is a 50% chance that your drive chip is a GC2-D2C. There is a 50% chance that the pins on your drive chip are not cut." Help please.

    you'll need a d2pro9 and a wii-clip v4c for D2C/D2C2 as seen here
