Reset your wii and hold down reset. I want to see if you at least have priiloader isntalled. If you hold it down and a menu pops up then you have priiloader installed.

    What guide did you follow?

I did the reset but nothing happend, the screen stays black. I followed the instructions from a softmod package for the wii with version 4.2e. I downloaded it and every step is been done. It is a version of softmod you must use if your wii is never been softmodded.

off course step 1 is homebrew dvdx and bootmii(ios)

then wad (ios249wad) because we need the ios 249 or 250.
then cios38rev14 installer and then i choose network install becaus my internet is on.

the last thing i had to do was to install usb_loader_gx_ulnr-r688.wad and neogammar7.wad.

But than with the restart nthing happend my screen turns black and stayed black.

Plug a gamecube controller (any wired one will do) into Port 4 and press all four directions, up, down, left , right at the same time while powering up the Wii. This is known as savemiifrii and you can find lots of guides and videos on this if you choose to search google.

If this step is successful you will have a text indication of your System Menu displayed on the screen.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Can you power on the Wii from the Wiimote. i.e. Go from red light to green light by holding down the Power button in Wiimote.

Shaneomc - Sounds pretty dead to me. Does the DVD slot flash twice or once when you remove the disc?
