So, GMODZ? You mentioned DVD playback was available using homebrew, but you know my Wii is not modded (the whole purpose of this thread). Did you mean to say there was a way to do it with an unmodded Wii? Because that link you provided doesn't seem to be it.

sorry without a mod i am not sure if you can load homebrew dvd playback unless its through a twilight hack

I wanted to thank everyone who offered advise. My D2Pro9 v2 is installed and working beautifully. Now, if someone had warned me that I had to remove so many screws, stickers and rubber pads, I would have thought twice before pulling the plug!
