WiiD chip and latest Wii update

    Hi guys
Unfortunately I am completely out of touch of the current scene for one reason or another, here’s my problem, hope you can help me out.
My Wii is chipped using a WiiD, the current firmware of the Wii is 3.1E, have not use d the Wii for a long time, today I went to run a backup of F1 and got the message ‘initiating Wii system update’ so I removed the disk and left it at that without doing the update – whats my next move.
    Any advice will be appreciated

The simplest solution would be to run the update, that is providing it is from the same region as your Wii.

The harder solution would be to install hombrew and install the needed IOS files yourself and block the update using your modchip.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
