Should I get the Argon chip?

I recently bought a Wii and plan to mod it soon. Its serial code starts with LU339 and I can't seem to find any confirmation of what chip it has (I have yet to open it since I don't own a tri-wing screwdriver). Is there a chance it may be a new chip or can I safely assume that it's a D2C chip? I was planning on getting a Wii-Clip V2 with an Argon chip presoldered onto it (since I'm very bad at soldering) at modchipcentral. Is this a good idea or should I consider an alternative? I'd prefer to get a modchip that can play backup wii and gamecube games right away and not have to worry about it in the future. Can I safely assume that modchipcentral automatically sells the argon chip with the latest firmware?

I just got the Argon chip a week ago on my new Wii. None of the others were compatible, but it's a great chip. No problems whatsoever, plays every game (a few NTSC one's need FreeLoader, but that's to be expected) and all homebrew stuff is working etc.
It's also a fully updateable chip - the guy who installs it will leave a wire just tucked in to one of the air flow vents or something allowing it to be updated without ever opening the Wii again.
Do it )

yes, jtag, USB programmer, apparently meaning it'll never become obsolete. Can be updated should they find a way to 'block' the exploit.... Well, here's hoping anyway ;o)
