Smile inexperienced modder looking for help

ok i have never modded anything before and i want to start out modding my wii. i have never soldered anything and quite frankly i am afraid. i was wondering is it worth it to get the wlip adapter and a modchip and just use that or would it be cheaper to just solder. any help is appreciated. thx

If you are not an avid solder, I would not suggest you to mod the wii yourself as I have found it the hardest of consoles to mod. Especially if you own a newer wii that has to be fitted with a D2C chip as these have 28 points to solder and they are very SMALL solder points. Def. not for rookies in my opinion.

They have a solderless chip available now.
Probably a better choice for most people...

I had mine done by Ned Cifric in MA. He was quick and everything works fine. Call him at 978-269-4624

The wii has nothing on the ps2 mod difficulty IMO, but i guess if you choose the argon or d2c then its tuff!
