i had my wii modded about 10 months ago (i dont know what chip is in it) i havent had any problems with it plays all my backups just fine. i got guitar 5 when i put it in it asks me do want to update my system i selected no my question is if i dont update will i be able to play this game

Hi mate, I recently had the same dilema. Is there anyway you can get
in touch with who modded it. My Wii usees a yaosm v3 (whatever that is).
I did a bit of reading and bit the bullet. Luckily everything aok.
The only games i use are PAL. That way no issues with patching (no risks)

Not without softmodding your wii and adding the necessary files that the GH5 disc wants to update you with. Or you could just run the update. Why are non softmodders so scared of updates, your chip is designed to have updates, just as long as you aren't stupid enough to update with an out of region disc you'll be fine.
