Which chip is this in photo?

I bought wii 2 years ago and was chipped.It played all games till about 9 months or so when i started to get ERROR 001. Now new games will not play.
Please see the photo. Kindly tell me
which chip is this?
what should i do to play new games and avoid error 001.
should i change the chip (wires directly soldered to wii IC chip)
should i softmod

many questions but will appreciate.
