i get this for madden 10 and wii resort. it asks me to update. not sure if i want to. what will happen to my homebrew apps like my nes, genesis, snes, and back up launcher. will they be disabled? i had a friend who updated and their apps died but did have the drivekey.
if your wii is hard modded u dont have to worry mine is only soft modded on 4.1 through nintendo official update and all vc/wiiware and emu work as well as all the games on my hdd and back ups 2 no problems
really? that's cool. mine is soft mod but wanted my newer games to work. so if mine is soft mod and hard mod plus "nintendo's 4.1" update, all my apps from my homebrew network will work huh.
No, you will have to reinstall some of you patched IOS file and what not as they will be written over. You will also have to install DVDX again.
I would suggest install Preloader and using the system menu hacks to "block disc updates" if you are using official copies. If you are using an iso, block the update by running the .iso through BrickBlocker. There is no real need to update.

hmmm, i'll do more research on this brickblocker so i don't have to update. my isos that i burned for wii resort (and my punch out!) and madden won't work on the disc channel. my wii resort works on the preloader app but madden doesn't. sorry, i don't see a thanks button but thanks though
no your wii will be fine its hard modded and soft modded if it was just softmodded i would tell u install cioscorp for games to play off of the disc channel but no need with a drive key your vc and emulators will be fine
