fully bricked ntsc wii here...what is the best mod chip to fix it?
I have a very old wii, I bought it when it came out and now I bricked it by installing the wrong system menu wad (lol stupid I know). anyways I was reading up on how to fix it the other day and I read about how it's possible to unbrick your wii by installing a modchip that can autoboot disks. is this possible? if so what are the cheapest solderless modchips I could use?

Before you rush out and buy a mod chip make sure you can load the recovery console by using the savemiifrii technique.

No you will need a mod chip or cIOScorp already installed to actually recover it. However, what would be the point of spending money on a mod chip unless you need to.
