So what is the best modchip for the wii that is solderless at the moment? And why?
Thanks
hello i have just joined also and would also like to know this before i decide if i get a chip or softmod
it depends on which model wii you have, what you expect from the chip, etc etc.
The single best thing to do is to contact a local modchip supplier/installer and talk it through with them.
Some of the chip suppliers/installers have web based tools to determine which chips are compatible with which Wii's.

model RVL-001 (EUR) serial LEH1132etc
Have chipped a ps1 myself and have had a ps2 chipped not by myself
but if you get wireless chips for the WII i would possible go with that
I would only use it for playing backup games and would think its a better option than any of the others (well it was with the ps1/ps2)
