Quick modchip question ...

I softmodded my brother's Wii (I don't have a Wii yet) and it worked pretty decent. I was wondering, if I were to get a Wii and have a modchip installed to I still have to mess with the IOSs, downgrades, NeoGamma, HBC etc or would I just put in a backup and launch it normally?

the modchip gets rid of the need to do that, however do not mix the two otherwise you will need to mess with the ios's to keep playing the latest things.

just put any software or game for the wii burned on a disk into the wii and it will boot up perfectly and like a regular disk. you can pretty much boot anything someone makes or get anything that is compatible and put it to a disk and it will boot. just make shure the modchip version is up to date. i really recommend you get a wiikey2, it is the best chip out, and if you arent into soldering, get a pre-soldered wiikey2 on a wiiclip. i dident have to update my wiikey2 and it plays every game even the ones some modchips have problems with even with the latest update. (super mario galaxy, super smash bros brawl, etc.)

I looked on Wiidrives and they didn't return any results for my serial. Its LU7008+... Are you reasonably confident that the Wiikey2 & clip would work on it? Its also 3.4U if that even matters.

I havent seen LU7008+ before, how new is this wii? My guess is it will have a D3 so youre better off getting a drivekey
