    Exclamation Wiichip malfunction help!

Hello, ive been experiencing problems with my wii-chip.

When i first installed it the drive was dead, then a day later it started working..and it kept swapping from the drive being dead to the chip working.
However to start the chip working, id have to budge to the top of my wii and it would normally start up again.(the wii was still dissambeld,)

However i re assembled my wii. And it was working fine last night, woke up this morning and the three back ups i had wernt being read! My drive was fine, it was reading my originals. But not my back up, as if my wii has no mod chip?

    please can anyone help me!

    Thanks

    jordan.

Take a picture of the install so we can take a look at it bro.
    And check your connections...
    What's the ModChip?

Then that explains sometimes you may have good contact.. and other times u dont..
Sounds like a short.. like the WiiClip is coming off little by little..
And once it does.. u'll have to re-open the system and push it back in..
and on and on.. until u get that modchip soldered to the drive then u'll be good to go..

ah yeah another user said that, he recomended taping it down with elec tape?
i mean im not even sure if its "short" or coming off.

Cant i just push it back in now..or do i gotta wait till it drops off,

i think i was to scared of bending the pins when putting it in

You can try now or later..
but it will keep messing up on you..
if these WiiClips dont start working good
from day one.. then u will always have an issue..
sorry to tell you that.. but it's the truth..
    Get it soldered my friend..
Just in case i offer a pro install.. Using the ModChip you purchased.

I have an update from what i found after have it for a while.

If the wii is on standby or has been on for a while, no backs up will work.

The wii has to be off(from the mains) for a while, and when i do plug it back in the backs up have a higher chance of running.

    No gc backs up work
or imports/import back ups. (it says it can play these)

So im starting to think it can be the media, or the still the chip.

With this new info does anyone have any idea?
