    Updating D2pro

    I really need help!

I bought a hardmodded Wii years ago with a D2Pro. It has D2Pro ver2 installed and I haven't updated it since. I had some downtime where my Wii collected dust. But now that i'm playing it again I can't update it, it drives me nuts that I can't play any semi new games.

D2Pro's site is closed now and just leads to WiiKey. But is there any other way to update the firmware so I can play games again.

    Help me guys?

I'm still new at dealing with how hardmodded systems bahave, but would a usuall softmod do the trick for him? (This has come up in chat a few times and I wasn't sure the best way to handle it.)

I believe so, but I have no experience with Hard mods as well.

This person should be able to follow that Guide to update everything as it is for hardmods & softmods.

To the other person , Please read the guide a few times, before proceeding.
Start from the very beginning of the Soft Mod Any Wii Guide, if you decide to follow it.

I have d2pro (solder edition baby) on one of my wiis, it's fine to do softmod guide. You can pretty much just ignore the fact that you have a chip, all it will do is let you play burned games right from the disc channel. Softmodding per the guide is totally fine and maybe even recommended.
