Unhappy Scrambled SD card

Dear folks at wiihacks,
Yesterday, following a few tutorials, I succesfully installed HBC and it works perfectly.
I wanted to try a few apps so while experimenting with scumm, doom and mplayer I noticed most of the times the sd card got somehow scrambled.

I have a 1GB sandisk, the one made for the wii, Nintendo seal of quality and all...

I fill it up with files, everything's fine. Then I put it in the wii and the HBC won't read it, and even the wii won't find the savegames I copied in it anymore.

Then I put it back in the PC and here's what I get:
[Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register][Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]

all contents scrambled.

I don't know if that helps but if I just copy a few files in the card (HBC, Mplay and other apps) everything works fine, but when I try to copy bigger files (350 MB avi files, or even monster.sou for the scumm which is less than 300) then the card gets scrambled EVERY time.

That's the only thing I noticed.

as I said I've got a 1GB sandisk in which I had copied savegames from the wii internal memory.

There is no difference between the Nintendo sandisk cards and the standard sandisk cards, or for that matter any SD card as the Wii will read almost every SD card upto 2gb (and bigger if you are using HBC beta 9).

Make sure the card is formatted fat or fat32 and alao make sure you tell windows to unmount it BEFORE you take it out of your PC, windows should tell you it's "safe to remove" the card. Not doing so can currupt data on the SD card.

WELL i begged a differ u may be right about fat format but nintendo does not like to lose money so maybe they invented a san disc card so it can fight the hbc from the inside of the wii ever think of that?

Speaking as one who has a veriety of SD cards (nintendo ones included) I think paranoia is getting to you. My Nintendo cards work perfectly with HBC.
