Captin,
I've made sure the data is not corrupted when I put it on the card, I know for sure after testing the problem arises when I put the card into the wii, and as I said, it doesn't happen everytime.
Right now I've been testing a few more apps, and it works perfectly.
The moment I try to put some bigger file into it, the card looks ok on the PC but then the wii somehow corrupts it.
It doesnt have a mod chip by the way.

what I do:
plug SD into PC
copy files
safely remove SD
plug SD into PC again, check, files are there
safely unplug SD
insert sd into wii
turn wii on
SD card unreadable
turn wii off
plug SD card into PC
ta da! card scrambled!

I tried exactly what you did.

I put an episode of Axe Men on the card (360mb) turned on the Wii went to HBC and loaded the media player and played the program perfectly, BTW I've never used the Wii to play an AVI before and it look ok.

Put the card back into my PC and everything is as it should be, no errors or curruption.

Have you got another SD card you could try?

Is it an old card? SD cards (or any flash based cards for that matter) actually have a life time, I dunnu how long it is, but you can only do so many read/write cycles before they fail.

I'm leaning toward a junk SD card.

for the humour of it.... i can see whats funny about it...

and for the record, the only difrence between a "nintendo" sandisk sd and a regular on is about a 30% price increase and a nintendo logo...

if nintendo/sandisk made a mod to the card where it would not work in particular aplications, then it would not be complient to the SD standards, and therefore would not be allowed to be sold as a SD card (not with a SD logo on it any way)

These cards are made to take advantage of stupid people who do not know any better and are ripe to be taken advantage of.

Tried a different SD card and now it works.
I'm just glad it wasn't a problem with the wii!
