Modified Wii Games
What does it take to play modified games, like a custom Guitar Hero 3? My Wii has a D2Pro mod-chip, what else would I need to play it?

just a modchip, and something to burn it, im sure theres a program to make it, but thats about it
oh and firmware lower than 3.3 or Gecko OS

So as long as I have modchip I'll be able to play the game fine? No need for any homebrew or any of that?

Just burn the ISO. It works like a normal game. I play the Custom GH3 with Backup loader v0.3.

Is there a reason you play it with the backup loader instead of burning it on a DVD other than to save a DVD?

I burned it to a DVD and ran the backup loader. I don't have a chip. (yet)

I've been looking for a way to downgrade, it looks like everything is going to require me to install the homebrew channel. Is that right?
