Thumbs up Make a FREE SaveMii!

This is pretty cool!
Instead of buying a SaveMii, you can use a gamecube controller. You have to take off the D-pad to press all of the buttons, but I'm sure it's worth it. Like a normal SaveMii, you need to insert a disk with an update on it. Insert a GC controller into PORT 4 and press UP + DOWN + LEFT + R1 and it will run the update

Maybe I'll brick my Wii on purpose just to try this! jk.

this could come in pretty handy with the SaveMiis still kind of hard to get ahold of because of such a high demand......plus a lot cheaper if you already have a controller.

Question is, what disc do you have to load with this? just any disc that has a newer update on it then the console has?

but if you don't want to pay $30 for something you only use once (hopefully) then it's worth a shot. I can understand someone buying a SaveMii if they repair Wiis and stuff, but for personal use, I would believe it's worth a shot.

Hey boys,
I would like to give this trick a shot.
Only thing is I don't understand which disc needs to be in the Wii?
What do you mean by a disc with the latest updated firmware and where can I get one of those?

Thanks

Well wii disks have updates on them. For example, if you have firmware 3.0 and the game has firmware 3.2 on it, you will have to update to play the game.

To unbrick a Wii, you need a game with higher firmware insterted.

Ohhhh, I thought you had to download a firmware and put it on a DVD XD. Thank you for your clarification. This is awesome thanks a lot.

If you have a chip, you can do that too.

Well, you don't HAVE to remove the D-Pad, you just have to press firmly in the center of the pad.
