Region help

ok, im on wii ntsc-j v3.2j so iv put homebrew channel on the wii without a problem, i just need to change the region to pal,and the language english with AnyRegion Changer v1.1, i was wondering that if i change the region on the wii will i have to change the firmware on the modchip?
i think the modchip is region free coz all region games work on my jap wii, will i still have to change the modchips firmware?

im not sure what modchip i have but wii is:
"Your Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2C.

There is a 80% chance that the pins on your drive chip are cut
and a 20% chance that that they are not cut."

so im guessing its a d2c chip

is there anyway of finding out which modchip i have without opening the wii? also if i change the region on the wii will the modchip work fine?

If you have the D2Ckey then you would have to change the jumpers on the D2Ckey to match Pal region, if its one of the later regions then it should be ok.

The only 100% way to tell what you have is to open it up. You can try downloading the utility disc from the D2pro.com site and see if it recognized, which if it is then it will tell you the firmware version that you have for the D2Pro9 modchip. But I recommend opening it up as you will need to do that anyway if you have the D2Ckey to change the region jumper

Careful with changing the full region of your Wii, because if your Wii's Modchip is set to japanese your drive may not be able to recognize any games once you change everything.
