if i use menuloader 0.5 and a game asks me i have to update my wii firmwire will i still be able to play the game if i use menuloader because it disables updates

I checked WiiBrew and that's the only place to get it. From what I understand it's a homebrew program that launches the wii menu with tweaks (i.e. no music, no health warning screen etc.) and region free enabled for Wii and Gamecube games.

If you are playing a different region game from your Wii, I would NOT update from that game, since it will cause a brick/semi brick issue. It's the same concept as playing a different region backup with a mod chip. Different region updates can damage your Wii.

Is yours modded?

You might want to check Starfall v0.5 which disables updates permanently unless uninstalled through the setup .dol file. Menu Loader 0.5 also gives you this function, but the problem is it is just for one session and when you reboot your wii it will be gone and you'll have to do it again. So I recommend Starfall, check it out on WiiBrew.org

after reading the page on the wiibrew site, i didnt even bother downloading it, as i already have starfall and like Rocketomy says, its permanent with same great features.

if it disables updates, then it wont ask you to update your wii firmware will it?
